The town of Puerto Lumbreras is 8 minutes away, it is also a very nice town with good restaurants and bars, there is a large market on Fridays and a small vegetable market on Tuesdays. There is a museum of cave houses and they quite often have open air concerts at the castle. Both towns have indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

The city of Lorca is 20 minutes away. Lorca is a superb and very Spanish city, there is a theatre, bullring and a new shopping centre. The coast and sea side towns of Garrucha, Mojacar and San Juan are just 35 mins away.
