A short drive from Isla Plana lie the Cabo Tiñoso battery emplacements which were constructed in the early 20th century to protect the area’s rich military arsenal. Still standing to this day, these guns were constructed in the UK and at the time were considered the best the world had to offer in terms of anti-shipping defence. Well worth a visit!
